Take some time out from the busyness of everyday life at our Sunshine Coast Easter Retreat with guest Yogi - Swami Jasraj.
This is an opportunity for you to spend a few nourishing days connecting with your breath, your body, your mind, and the present moment, away from the usual distractions of life.
The retreat takes place at Bellbunya Eco Retreat, Sustainable Community and Educational Centre. Reconnect with nature & find yourself at the unforgettable getaway at Belli Park on Sunshine Coast, just 30 minutes from Noosa.
TEACHERS
The retreat will feature special guest yogi Mahamandaleshwar Swami Jasraj Puri. Swami Jasraj is an Aussie guy who spent 20 years living at the Yoga in Daily Life ashram in Rajasthan and also time studying and practicing in the Himalayas. Currently, he is teaching and holding programs at Yoga in Daily Life Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.
Swami Jasraj is a highly respected and inspiring yogi whose immersion in the authentic yogic practices and life in India has contributed to his deep insight and experiences. With his western background, we have the unique opportunity to learn from someone who can offer us these valuable ancient teachings in a modern and relevant context in a clear, down-to-earth manner. This is a very special opportunity for you.
There will also be a team of Senior Queensland Yoga in Daily Life teachers at the retreat sharing their many years of experience with you.
PROGRAM
AWAKEN YOUR HIDDEN POTENTIAL - Chakras and Kundalini
Chakras are subtle “wheels” along the central channel of the body, used as focal points visualized in meditation. There is a myriad of chakras within the body, of which 8 are focused on in meditation. Each chakra is associated with certain colors, qualities, deities, and aspects of our psychosocial being. By practicing breathing and visualization techniques, together with specific yoga postures, chakra meditation brings harmony, balance, and vitality to each chakra.
Chakra meditation nurtures the blossoming of our inner qualities and can have profound effects on self-confidence, dealing with stress, and realizing our potential. The practices slowly and systematically unlock the dormant potential that resides within us and open pathways for consciousness to rise to higher states of meditation.
Sample Daily Program
· 6.30am – Guided meditation
· 7am – Yoga class
· 8.00am – Breakfast
· 10am – Chakra Meditation & Pranayama Workshop with Swami Jasraj
· 12.30pm – Lunch
· Free time (bushwalk pr optional help with meal preparation from 2pm)
· 3.00pm – Yoga Nidra (long guided relaxation)
· 3.45-5.00pm – Yoga class
· Free time (optional cooking class from 5.15pm)
· 6.30pm – Dinner
· 7.30pm – Satsang, Kirtan & Yoga Philosophy
VENUE
The retreat is only one and half hours drive north of Brisbane, nestled amongst abundant Sunshine Coast Hinterland rainforest. This authentic haven from city life allows you time to experience and reconnect with nature.
Bellbunya is a living, breathing community of people committed to increasing our own and the planet's consciousness. It's set up as an intentional community on 40 acres. They have organic permaculture food gardens, syntropic gardens, wildlife corridors, a creek and lagoon, a conference hall and restaurant, and accommodation for up to 30 guests. The Centre is run on 100% renewable energy through a 7.2kva solar panel system and by buying wind farm energy.
There will also be opportunities for a talk and guided tours with one of the owners Ian Trew.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
The retreat will begin with arrival and set-up on Friday after 2 pm, then a gentle afternoon yoga class, followed by dinner and evening Satsang. The retreat will conclude with the morning yoga class, breakfast & final workshop, and a takeaway lunch packet on Monday.
